1. Install the app
Open Pageflow-0.2.0-beta.dmg and drag Pageflow.app onto the Applications folder shown beside it.
Pageflow 0.2.0 beta is a notarization-free build, so the first launch takes one extra step. Apple silicon, macOS 15 or later. New in this build: Live Mode transcription and a local model service for narration — see the full feature guide.
Open Pageflow-0.2.0-beta.dmg and drag Pageflow.app onto the Applications folder shown beside it.
The build carries an ad-hoc code signature rather than an Apple Developer ID, so double-clicking shows a warning. Instead right-click Pageflow.app and choose Open, then confirm. macOS remembers the choice, and later launches are normal.
On newer macOS versions, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the blocked-app notice, and choose Open Anyway. As a last resort, run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Pageflow.app in Terminal.
No keys ship with the build. Grounded questions, quizzes, and cloud voices use a provider you choose in Settings, with a key from your own account. Reading, progress tracking, and local narration work without any key.
The DMG's SHA-256 checksum is published in SHA256SUMS.txt. To confirm your copy matches, run shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/Pageflow-0.2.0-beta.dmg and compare the result.
This build is ad-hoc signed and not notarized, so it does not update itself and Gatekeeper will flag it on every clean machine. Speech and narration model files download on first use of local narration or Live Mode. Please send installation, audio, memory, and document-compatibility problems to the issue tracker.
